But this time can they do it?The film was originally going to be directed by John Lasseter at the Walt Disney Animation Studios where he worked on his 1991 short film "Luxo Jr.", as well as his directorial debut with 1995's "Toy Story". However, after his executive producer role on the 2014 film "Big Hero 6", he left the project to make a "Cars" spin-off. Pete Docter, director of 2010's "Up" and 2013's "Monsters University", was announced as the new director. In an interview, Docter said that he wanted Inside Out to be made into a feature film because he felt that there were too many ideas that wouldn't fit in a short film. In another interview with Animation Magazine, Docter explained that there were two main inspirations for this film: his daughter Eliezer and his wife Paige. cfa1e77820
